Nothing is ever really over. To everything there is a season, turn turn turn, etc., the cycle of life etc. etc. I just saw in the newspaper that next Monday, Beija-Flor will announce their theme (enredo) for next year! The 2008 Carnaval! HERE WE GO!

After five years spent mostly flitting around the world playing samba percussion, I've landed a full-time dream job in Boston doing marine biology. But old samba habits die hard, and I am determined to get back to Brazil at least once a year.
